Courage to Create: “Mending Broken Things”

Taking a cue from his memoir, The Words I Chose, Wes McNair will give a combined poetry reading and talk titled “Mending Broken Things.”  In his memoir he says, “I am a poet who has been shaped from the start by the threat of things dear to me coming apart.”  He will show how he has addressed this threat in poems that attempt to repair and restore the broken world. Multiple prizewinning poet, writer, editor and professor, McNair is a Newport native widely respected and loved for his courage to not turn his back on the local obstacles to his success as a widely respected literary figure.

This event is funded through a Community Project Grant awarded to Center for the Arts - Lake Sunapee Region for “Courage to Create: Mending Broken Things.”
