Connecting Across Physical Distance Part I

This 2-part workshop will prepare facilitators to lead virtual Connections book discussions.

Facilitators will be able to observe Connections facilitator Carolyn Hutton lead a book discussion on Before She Was Harriet by Lesa Cline-Ransomewith a virtual class of ESOL students at Second Start Adult Education via Zoom. Carolyn led both her Connections series with Dover Adult Learning Center and class at Berwick Academy on digital platforms in the wake of COVID 19. This will allow facilitators an opportunity to observe some strategies regarding how to facilitate a book discussion online with actual participants.

At the end of Part I, facilitators will be asked to design a digital lesson plan around one Connections book of their choice to share in Part II of the workshop, on July 21st from 10:00am -11:30am.

Please RSVP to receive Zoom meeting details by contacting Mary Nolin via email at mnolin@nhhumanities.org or via cell at 603-530-1413.
